The people responsible for the bombing was the Americans.
One of the main reasons for dropping the bomb was to end the war as fast as they
could without killing many people resulting in a vast amount of
causalities.

- The Atomic Bomb had been invented by many people. One of the more well known scientist was Robert Oppenheimer. The plan he was working under was called the Manhattan Project.
Fun Fact: The Manhattan project was later taken over by the man who built the Pentagon.
- Uranium, Plutonium, and TNT were used to develop the bomb. Little Boy( one of the Atomic Bombs) had contained about 13 kilotons of TNT. Fat Boy contained about 22 kilotons.
- The scientists working on the bomb did not know the purpose of the project. They only knew that they were building a bomb. Later on when they had found out they had all been threatened to keep quiet, and were threatened with the chance of going to jail if they spilled any secrets.
- The bomb had a lot of effects on the people that had suffered when the bomb went off. Cancerous diseases where more common as well as mutations, and other terrible illnesses.
- When the first bomb was dropped ( the one in Hiroshima) it killed about 80,000 people and wiped out 90 percent of the city. When the second bomb was dropped, about 40,000 were killed.
- The specific planes to drop the bomb were called B-29 pilots. Which dropped the first nuclear bomb in 1945.
There were two bombs that had been dropped in Japan. One of them was called Little Boy. Little Boy had been dropped in Hiroshima, while Fat Man (the other atomic bomb) was dropped in Nagasaki.
Using the bomb had resulted in lot less American causalities than if they were to invade Japan over and over until they all surrendered.
The Japanese would not accept an unconditional surrender. An unconditional surrender is when the Japanese emperor was removed from the Japanese society which would go against the Japanese traditions. So the U.S had to use the bomb due the fact that they couldn't send more troops in because it would result in even more U.S casualties.
The other main city's of Japan would have been firebombed if they didn't drop the bomb and those cities would have been destroyed as well. This saved many Japanese civilians lives. One of the cities they had threaten to Firebomb had been Tokyo.
